Fresh apple cider donuts.
That was all I had to say to convince the family to change out of their pajamas on a cold Saturday morning. We headed to Heyser Farms looking for those delicious donuts but discovered a lot more. They were having some sort of festival and lots of yummies to taste.
Jaxson and Sophia couldn't keep their hands off the citrus sample station. We bought some of the sweetest grapefruit we've ever had from the farm.
Then we tasted some raw honey and saw how the beekeeper extracts honey from the bees' combs. It was pretty mesmerizing.
My favorite part? A wine tasting from Great Shoals Winery. They produce a sparkling hard cider from the Spencerville Red Apple, Heyser's signature apple. I might have sampled a little from every bottle. They have a peach sparkling wine that our guy, I think his name is Matt, recommend we serve over vanilla ice cream. That sounded absolutely divine.
If you're local, make sure you head to Heyser Farms for apple cider donuts. You never know what you might find! I love supporting local businesses and hope you do the same when you can.
This is not a sponsored post. We paid for all stuff we bought.
