It's not very often we have leftover coffee in our home. When we do, I hate to waste coffee. Nine o'clock rolled around one evening and a craving for ice cream hit me. Glancing at the leftovers in my French press, I had an idea.
An ice cream coffee float! How can you go wrong with ice cream and coffee? I tried a new to me coffee, Don Francisco Breakfast Blend. The breakfast blend was very smooth with low acidity. With a little milk and sweetener, it kept me warm during the chilly fall mornings at the bus stop this week.
Then my brilliance kicked in. A little drizzle of sweetened condensed milk. It added just the extra touch the float needed.
Are you going to try one? I think these would be fun to make together at the end of a dinner party. Each person can drizzle their own condensed milk and/or chocolate syrup. I imagine a little whipped cream wouldn't hurt either.
I received a bag from Don Francisco coffee at a non-blogging conference. They had no idea I'd write about their coffee. They did send me a basket of coffee (weee!) so I''ll probably review some of their flavors soon.
