Share Your Lunch Tales with YoKids (w. giveaway)

First Day of School Lunch
One of Sophia's kindergarten school lunches. Isn't that a cute box?

Sophia has been in first grade for an entire week now. By day 4, I was already at a loss for what to pack my semi-picky eater. At the end of day 4, she lost her lunch box. Yep. Of course I had to quiz her several times to get the entire story. Even her teacher helped her search for the lunch box, but to no avail.

I'm actually surprised that she hasn't lost her lunch box sooner. Yes, I label everything in her lunch from the cooler bag to the cute bento containers. Everything but the ice packs. Like any prepared parent, I have multiples of her lunch system, so it wasn't a big deal.

When Sophia came home from her fifth day of first grade, her backpack carried two sets of lunch boxes. The missing box had been found. Turns out her lunch box fell out of their class bin and another class picked it up. Whew! I really like those bento containers.

Have you had a similar lunch time tale? Granted, my daughter is only a first grader so I'm sure well have plenty of lunchtime stories under our belt in a few years.

YoKids wants to hear your lunch stories. Did you eat lunch at school? Pack your own? Did the other kids convince you that the cafeteria only served spinach the day after they mowed the school lawn?

In light of National Take Your Parents to Lunch Day presented by YoKids and Kiwi Magazine on October 17th, share your tales about your and your kids' lunches for a chance to win coupons and a grand prize of $2,500! You'll get a coupon just for submitting a tale.

To kick-off the Your Lunch Tales contest, Stonyfield YoKids has a great giveaway to one of my readers: Stonyfield-branded Preserve sandwich container filled with (10) FREE YoKids coupons (VALUED AT $45 EACH).

As a Stonyfield Yo-Getter, I received a gift similar to the giveaway item for hosting this giveaway. The lunch tale is really true. And my husband did wonder about the spinach in his school lunch. Merely coincidence? He was not convinced.
