Food trucks used to be elusive in DC, kind of like a unicorn. I would hear about them, but never see one. Now there's all sorts of food trucks here: sandwiches, cupcakes, etc. They even have food truck wars and food truck crawls in DC and Baltimore now.
A few weeks ago I grabbed some snacks from Popped! Republic. Ok, I made my husband buy it, but that's almost the same right? We tried the Congressional Cheddar and Capital Caramel. Savory and sweet. I'm glad that we bought two different flavors. The cheddar popcorn was salty, cheesy and tangy. The Capital Caramel had sophisticated flavors. The caramel flavor was a little smoky and just the perfect amount of crunch.
Popped! Republic was reasonably priced. Those two bags were the snack sized bags and were only $2 each. I kind of wished we had bought more.
