When I cleaned out some bins in my office, I discovered these 4x6 index card dividers. I purchased them many years ago when I attempted to create a tickler file. That's why there's numbers on the tabs. I was about to toss them into the recycling bin when I realized I could re-purpose them.
I packed them in my travel art kit and took it with me to the park. While my toddler ran around and made new friends, I did a quick sketch of the slide. I didn't aim for perfect. After all, I was standing while I sketched. Usually my perfectionist self would nitpick at my drawing. Instead, I just went with the flow.
Late one evening, I pulled out my slide and gave it some color. Another night, I'll do some journaling on it.
I like sneaking in five minutes here and there for a bit of creativity. I've started keeping a fine point Sharpie and some index card dividers in my bag. Just in case I'm sitting somewhere, I can whip them out for a quick drawing.
Have a fun and creative weekend!
