A Patty Pan Still Life

While I'm not keen on the taste of patty pan squash, they're fun to paint. The colors are just begging to be painted! I painted this guy the same night that I painted the playground slide sketch.

I think squash has been a big theme for me this summer. First all the zucchini we received in our CSA this summer, then the random squash growing on the side our apartment's stoop. This coming Friday is our last CSA bag for the summer. It already feels like fall here in DC so I'm not too sad about it ending. I'm ready to move on.

I'm headed out of town this week but I'll try to post when I can.
