The kids look forward to summertime, not just because they get lots of outdoor time, but because fruit is in abundance. My kids love fruit. They're not too picky about what kind. Over the weekend, we hit one of our favorite farms, Butler's Orchard.
The strawberries were plentiful and ripe. Sophia ate quite a few while she was picking but Jaxson was very determined to fill up his bucket. He only ate a couple strawberries in the field, but when we got back on the tractor, he went to town. By the time we drove home, they kids had eaten over half of what we picked.
It was hot Saturday so we didn't stay out in the fields long. They kids were done after fifteen or so minutes. I hope we can make it back for blueberry picking. They are much easier to pick. No bending over.
