Aren't these artichokes gorgeous? I spotted a stack of them at our Trader Joe's and couldn't help but snap a photo. The kids were very curious about them Sophia even asked how to cook them. In theory I know how, but have never had the desire to cook fresh artichokes. It's so much easier to buy the jar of marinated artichoke hearts.
Just looking at the photo again makes me want to paint them. I love the pattern their leaves make.
