It's Too Hot to Cook! CSA Week 9

Whole Foods CSA Week 9

This past week was another hot week in DC. Friday, the day we picked up week 9 of our CSA from Whole Foods was a code red. Meaning don't go outside if you don't have to. I was glad we could eat part of our CSA without cooking.

I'm lucky we made it home with any nectarines. The kids (and I) love them! To keep them busy on the drive home, I gave each kid one, which they promptly devoured. In fact, as of Sunday, we only have 1 peach left. Once we got home, I cut the cucumbers into spears and they ate those too!

Last week was full of crazy mishaps. We returned home from a short vacation to a semi-flooded apartment. Then Wednesday, my car battery died in the Target parking lot. After I thought my rash of bad luck was over, on Friday, I dropped my gallon of milk in the parking lot of Whole Foods. It completely burst.

Thank goodness Whole Foods replaced our milk after I told them what happened.

I'm happy to have a fresh start this week.

What did you eat this weekend?
