Bottle Cap Art Fail

So you don't think that everything I do comes out great, I'm sharing my latest crafting disaster.

I have no idea why I decided to start a project at 10 o'clock at night. I get invested and stay up way too late working on it. Well, for some reason, I just had to make these bottle caps. It probably had something to do with the artistic director of Pyramid Atlantic complimenting me on my bottle cap necklace.

What are these a fail? First, I was in a hurry and used pictures I had already printed. I thought if I just sealed them with Modge Podge it'd be ok. However my printer paper was too thin and became translucent once I added the resin.

I also added a dot of craft glue to attach the collage to the bottom of the bottle cap. (I learned that the hard way in previous attempts when they started floating.) I just didn't let the glue dry before I added the resin. The lighter circle in the center is that glue.

The worse part? I don't know if my resin is old or I measure incorrectly (probably the latter cause it was midnight!). The resin set but was still tacky/sticky over 24 hours later.

I threw them in the trash. 3 hours of work and trash.

Next time I'll be patient and do everything right. I don't have to finish the project in one night, right?
